I read Minor Detail as part of the #readingisresistance readathon. This book is really a punch to the gut. It begins in 1949 with the rape and murder of a Palestinian girl by an Israeli officer, told from his perspective. It then jumps forward to present day, when a Palestinian woman reads about this horrific event and tries to find out more.
This book is dark and very heavy. It really drives home the horrible history of the occupation and the oppressive conditions Palestinians live in now. This is mandatory reading for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Palestine.
