Ink in the Blood by Kim Smejkal

4.0

I enjoyed this book because it was truly original and eclectic. Original religions and magic are always good things to put in novels. The inclusivity with queer characters made me extremely happy, and the relationships were fun and real. The only thing that bothered me was that it gets a little confusing at points, especially near the end of the book. Act Three is very fast-paced and was difficult for me to keep up with. Regardless, I had fun reading this book and I look forward to the sequel(s)!
