I've always loved the movie, so I was glad to find the book was just as entertaining. I imagine I would have found the ending too ambiguous though, without the knowledge/ follow-up of the sequels.
I also seriously disliked the character Lex in the book. She's the whinier, less intelligent, not-as useful-foil to her brother who knows all about dinosaurs! and computers! who doesn't panic as much!
