Unraveling Timelines by Lise Breakey

4.0

I read this following Sherwood Smith’s review and I liked it a lot. I think I was most impressed by the prose and the pacing. There’s a lot going on but the structure is fairly concise, giving it a thriller-like feel. I also liked that there was more to the premise than just “time travel!”; the cannibalistic and rather creepy Hunters are a highlight, especially how, despite all appearances, they’re not entirely unsympathetic once you get to know them. This small-press book deserves more than the <20 goodreads ratings it currently possesses.
