The Chopin Manuscript by Jeffery Deaver

3.0

Collaborative novels aren't always the best idea...but this one does an admirable job of weaving a tale of suspense with many twists and turns.[return]The tale centers around a manuscript supposedly composed by Fredric Chopin. Former war crimes investigator Harold Middleton comes across this manuscript--and almost immediately also comes across the dead bodies of those who got in the way of the unknown assassins who are willing to kill for it. As he races from Poland to America to uncover the mystery of the manuscript, Middleton will be accused of murder, pursued by federal agents, and targeted by assassins. But the greatest threat will come from a shadowy figure out of his past: the man known only as Faust.
