Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid

4.0

TJR is my new age author. Plain and simple. I would’ve easily read this in an afternoon if I had planned better.

Hannah is returning to LA as she figures out her next path. Her first night in town, she has the choice to either go home with her friend or stay for another drink with her ex. So she chooses…

Both! This book alternates chapters between what happens when she chooses each option and the consequences that follow.

I LOVE this premise and was immediately hooked. There have been times where I’ve wondered how different my life would have been if I have chosen one option instead of the other, so it was fascinating to see how Hannah’s life (lives?) played out.

I will say toward the end it started to lose steam for me. If something was revealed in one reality, I was WAITING to see how it would be revealed in the other. The last 30 pages were meh. I also got annoyed by the constant cinnamon rolls references.
