4.0

Thoroughly enjoyed this set of short stories, set in a framing tale, about a group of 'Wild Cards' ie those infected with an alien virus and displaying odd physical traits or super powers. It manages a nice spin on the mutants/powers-type story, and bonus: added time travel!

It might seem a bit odd to start a series at book 25, but a quick google for the underlying premise, and this is absolutely worth the read regardless.
