Die letzten Tage von Rabbit Hayes by Anna McPartlin

4.0

Rabbit Hayes is dying, this is a fact you get confronted with from page 1 on.
Still it is a very good read which made me laugh and cry, feel happy, nostalgic, sad and empowered throughout.
The main characters in this book, the Hayes family (plus their adopted family members), are heart-warming, charming and very relatable. This story, which is condemned to be sad, has so so many more facets to it and even though I promised myself to not get attached I cried like a baby at the end, because they all got a place in my heart so easily. It is a story that makes you realise how special life really is, even when it's not at all.
I normally find it hard to get into books with changing point-of-views but I didn't had a problem with it this time at all. It is an easy read but at the same time very challenging thanks to the topic. I would recommend it for teens and adults alike.
This book felt like a journey and I am very thankful that I was able to tag along.
So thank you Rabbit and Johnny for taking me with you.
