Signal increase in mushy love storylines. Yes, the characters are still amazing but this volume veered from the action-packed pirate crew conquering the seas into a plot worthy of a telenovela! I truly hope the story returns its emphasis to the search for Raven’s brothers and her quest to regain her rightful inheritance. It is possible to have a bit of romance sprinkled among the action – but this volume wasn’t sprinkled … it was drowning in it.
