Full House by Maeve Binchy

3.0

I love Maeve Binchy's writing style: solid, homey, and real. Her characters, even the shady ones, are lovely in their charming ordinariness. In a Binchy novel, everyday life is presented such a way that it feels extraordinary.
Full House had much the same congenial and cozy feel as the author's other novels. My only complaint is that this was written as a novella, and I sincerely wish that it would have been longer so as to flesh out the characters and their changes better. Everyone experiences such dramatic change in such a short time- I would have liked to experienced more of it as a reader.
