Aru Shah and the Song of Death by Roshani Chokshi

adventurous funny tense fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
Another delightful installment in this series. Chokshi keeps both the plot and the larger story-arc moving nicely, and the characters continue to be wonderful traveling companions for any reader. And I absolutely love how
Aru questions the black-and-white morality in the way the stories have been told to her and learning that sometimes being the "hero" means doing terrible things.
