Year's Best Weird Fiction, Vol. 1 by Laird Barron

3.0

When it's good, it's very very good, and when it's bad, it's not very good.

The good stories definitely outweigh the bad and Barron admirable fills the book with a huge variety of styles, subjects, and weirdness. This book literally has something for everyone and it turned me on to some authors I wasn't familiar with.

A good start to a series I'll continue following. Very promising.
