Sporadic and chaotic. Dark and incredibly spontaneous. Some things in this book (I read it before watching) I just couldn't comprehend initially and had to re-read. Certain parts of it fall apart into a complex moral montage of prior situations or divergent tangents that kind of takes you out of the moment. Overall a fantastic story (as far as events that happen, not the content of their actions) and something that will most likely never be duplicated, and it has an unreal level of authenticity to it with its cult following and love for Hunter S. Thompson. Can't wait to watch the movie and see what gets left out.
