(I had been disappointed that that story was left hanging during [b:Third World|21532221|Finder Third World|Carla Speed McNeil|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1400875860l/21532221._SX50_.jpg|40860577].) So Rachel has won the debutante ball (or whatever they call it) and is now royalty. She lives in a huge manor house but has no money, so she lives off of gifts from her sponsors who want the publicity from her search for a rich spouse from her clan. She does get engaged in this volume, and she has a spirit wedding with an Ascian deity. Then Jager shows up with an offer....

I know that description won't make sense to anyone not familiar with this world, and for those who are familiar I'm avoiding spoilers so you can enjoy it yourself. If you've liked Finder before, you'll still like it now.

I was reading a PDF pre-release copy slowly for 6 months. Partly to stretch it out and savor it. Partly because I don't like reading PDFs. I'll certainly buy the finished physical copy when it comes out this summer, for the footnotes if nothing else. There are some bits I need explained!
