A read-in-one-go book!
But it wasn't perfect. I was disappointed it didn't add up to much more than an on-the-run-from-gangsters plot. Really, they should have called the police from the get-go, and the book never recovered! The main characters kept on making ill-informed decisions just to make sure the plot could keep going. Ultimately, our main characters are little more than hood ornaments, directed where the story needs them to go! They were at the mercy of the people around them crossing, double-crossing and negotiating with one another.
I would have liked more twists and turns in the story. And I got tired of all the mentions of nappy changing and breastfeeding!
