Death and the Seaside by Alison Moore

4.0

I received an ARC of this, and it's a quick read. I suppose I'd liken it to Gillian Flynn with more psychodrama and less thriller. It contains stories within the story that weave themselves together, ending in a way you're expecting but yet not expecting. I gave this 4 stars, but in reality it would be 3.5. Perhaps it is just the British way of writing, but when it started off I was reminded of A Casual Vacancy and it took me a few pages to really get into it.
