The Fall of Hyperion by Dan Simmons

5.0

5.0 stars. Un-friggen-believable. This was an absolute joy to read from cover to cover. After finishing 'Hyperion' I had high hopes for a strong finish to the great setup that book established, and were my expectations ever exceeded here. Most of the (many) questions that come up are answered in satisfying fashion, and those that are left vague are all the better for it. A sense of wondering and mystery in just the right places, yet a fulfilling conclusion to the major storyline. Some of the best characters I've seen in science fiction, some of whom (honestly, most of whom) managed to evoke some major emotions from me as I followed them along on their journeys.

I absolutely recommend this to anybody who has any interest in science fiction, and even to many people who might not.
