Batgirl, Vol. 2: Knightfall Descends by Vicente Cifuentes, Ardian Syaf, Gail Simone, Ed Benes, Alitha Martinez

5.0

Okay, I thought I'd fallen in love with Batgirl.

And then I met Batwoman. And now I have four more hold requests at my library.

Seriously, why have I waited so long to try to get into comics? This shit is my jam.

Though I'm still confused how she caught The Grotesque. Like, I missed that part entirely. And what the fuck happened with The Talon storyline? Like, police station go boom, and...nothing. Seriously, what the hell? The owl people were ready to rip Gotham to shreds and then...donut hole.

And the James bits? Oh, sweet baby jesus. And the bit with her mom at the end, I am so excited to find out what happens next. Also, is her mother's name Barbara? Because Commisioner Gordon said "Barbara" when she walked in, and at first I thought he was confused and thought it was his daughter but there was no clarification and did these two narcissists seriously name BOTH children after themselves?!

Got an inkling of back story (Bat story?) on Barbara, but I'm still thirsty for more. I can never have enough back story. LOVED LOVED LOVED Knightfall's backstory, dear god that was so dark and twisted and just right up my alley.

Metahuman. Is that a common phrase in the Bat universe? I like it. Though I prefer my villains just crazy (Harvey Dent, Joker, etc), rather than some form of super human.

Speaking of insane, is Arkham Asylum useful in any bloody way? I've seen movies, and read a grand total of TWO Bat related comics, and I know that EVERYONE escapes from Arkham Asylum. Like, what is the point of even keeping it open, really?

Okay, book 3 book 3 book 3.
