The Ghastling: Book Nine by Lucie McKnight Hardy

4.0

Absolutely in love with this charming little horror magazine: a collection of spooky short stories that are so bite-sized and easy to follow, accompanied by an amazing aesthetic and appreciation of artwork throughout. I love the layout, the pacing, and the overall idea of The Ghastling, and can't thank The Abominable Book Club enough for enlightening me to it. My one detriment being that a few of the stories were severely underwhelming in comparison to others, but that will so often happen in short story collections as it's hugely down to personal preference! Definitely interested in further issues.
