My Reckless Valentine by Olivia Dade

3.0

I wasn't expecting much when I went into this story, basically because of my reactions to the first book. Thankfully, this book was a lot longer than that first one, but it wasn't necessarily better.

I had a really hard time connecting with both of the main characters. Grant was too logical to be approachable and Angie was too flighty, in my opinion. However, I could see how they worked well as a couple. I just didn't like most of their relationship, especially the deception they employed to keep it, despite their professions of preferring honesty.

I liked how this continued on from the previous book, making it important to read that one first for full effect, even though this story focused on a different couple. All things considered, it's a good way to get into the mood for Valentine's Day.
