This book was good and hard and made me cry.

This is written by an Indigenous author and follows the niece, Perry of Daunis from Firekeeper’s Daughter. It’s a YA thriller and the themes that this author writes into her books when it comes to Indigenous issues such as MMIW crisis and the exploitation that some predators use with the loopholes within the two systems is so frustrating, also the discussions of artifacts and the NAGPRA, a federal law that allows the tribes to obtain ancestral remains and sacred items just really hit me with how disrespected we as white people continue to be towards Indigenous people and respect for their people and culture.
