Death at the Bar by Ngaio Marsh

While the answer did feel a bit implausible, I liked that Alleyn and Fox got out to the country to solve this one.
I find it interesting that Alleyn uses many of the regular public when solving a murder, sending them off to find out answers or look into buildings, putting an awful lot of trust into someone who doesn't investigate anything for a living and might possibly be guilty of some crime, at least of lying to the police if nothing else.
I also am starting to find it annoying that there is always a re-creation of the scene at some point. Where everyone stands around and says what they did and then Alleyn can prove beyond a shadow who did it. It feels so contrived.
