Elsewhere: A Memoir by Richard Russo

4.0

A strange and beautiful dream Rick's book was. Although the memories were sometimes raw the held that glimmer of adventure without painting everything rosy. The power of family to inspire, encourage, outrage us makes for a wonderful tale in this small town story about Rick's independent mother. This book was good therapy after losing my mother-in-law to heart failure in July.
