The Billionaire in Boots by Julia London

Was I first drawn to this book because of that dog on the cover? 100%! And it was a good decision - the story in the pages lived up to the cover. And there was not one but two dogs - a very good dog and a very bad dog and I loved them both.
There is also a romance with a couple of my favorite things - a grumpy hero and some great banter. Nick is a vegetarian cattle rancher who desperately wants to be a pilot. He put those plans on hold to run the ranch when his father passed away. Charlotte is the office manager for the ranch and keeps everything running smoothly with her color coded filing system.
I really enjoyed this read. While it’s the third in the series, it’s the first one I read but I’m excited to go back and read the others too! There was a little about the resolution at the end that I didn’t love - but glad to let it slide because the rest was definitely worth it.
