It Felt Like a Kiss by Sarra Manning

David Gold

Well, I certainly loved this.
I was recenly in London so the atmosphere was so familiar and realistic to me, down to the accents of the old ladies.
Of course, none of the characters was perfect, au contraire, they were so flawed, so real! Every time I read a book, I try to measure just how palpable the characters are, and count me impressed, these people were marvelous!
I loved Ellie's feelings toward David (that is, I didn't always like David himself, to be honest). But the passion she felt, the knot in her stomach, oh boy, have I felt that.

Overall, I expected a sugarcoated frustrating little book, and instead I got this smart, funny and painfully realistic lovely novel about the world as it is wheather we like it or not.
