Murder, She Wrote: Murder in Season by Jessica Fletcher, Jon Land

3.0

Not my favorite of the holiday books but always a pleasure to be with Jessica for the holidays. I didn’t guess the killer, even pages before the reveal, and to be honest I didn’t think it was a great, solvable mystery in the end. The evidence leading up to it was pretty manufactured and unbelievable. Forget motive for murder, I don’t think the premise of hiding the trunk in Jessica’s yard made any sense. The town antique dealer buries a chest of historical documents in someone’s yard instead of displaying them for historical record? Nah.
