Four O'clock by Sonia H. Greene, H.P. Lovecraft

2.0

Overwrought prose with an attempt at a mood-terror-distillation, which mostly made me laugh, tbh. There are things one can scream to invoke terror. "Four O'Clock" is not one of them (though I can imagine a better writer making it work). I wanted more background to the story, and I wanted more than a mood-piece.

Worth reading if you're a Lovecraftian completist, but not really otherwise.
