Thank you to PRH Audio for the ALC of Maid for Each Other by Lynn Painter. All opinions are my own.
I’ve enjoyed reading Lynn Painter’s books for several years now. Typically, I seem to like her young adult books a little more than her adult books, but I think Maid for Each Other is my new favorite Lynn Painter book!
Within the first few chapters, I was laughing so hard at the plot and the inner monologue of the main characters. The premise of this book was so interesting and entertaining, and it was done so well. A++ to Lynn for this hilarious romcom.
Every time I read a Lynn Painter book, I’m always so impressed with the banter. How she comes up with the dialogue I’ll never know, but it’s always so good! The banter between Abi and Declan right from the start was amazing even though they were not experiencing the best circumstances.
Abi was such a funny and charming main character, and I found her antics around Declan’s family and business associates hilarious. Declan could be so sweet and tender, and I loved how quickly he grew to like Abi.
I also liked the discussion of wealth in this book and how the characters talked about it and dealt with it. I thought there were a lot of valid arguments made for and against wealth and how it can be used in society.
I listened to the audiobook, and the narrators did a fabulous job with their parts. Each narrator fit their character so well, so I would recommend this format.
Overall, I loved this book and it is easily one of my favorite romances I’ve read this year. Please read it!
