Unbelievable audio cast!!! Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen, George Clooney, Kevin Bacon, Vanessa Garcia, Christine Lahti, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bridger Zadina, Jensen Panettiere, Matt Bomer, Matthew Morrison, Yeardley Smith, Rory O'Malley, Jesse Tyler Ferguson (<3), James Pickens, Jr, Chris Colfer, John C. Reilly (!), George Takei, Cleve Jones, Jane Lynch, Campbell Brown!
It takes 3 and a half weeks of testimony from the Prop 8 case and offers it up to the audience with love, humor and compassion. The cast alone is worth the listen, but I also enjoyed all the extra features at the end, including commentary from the two lawyers that took on Prop 8- Ted Olson and David Boies. Olson and Boies had once squared off in the Bush/Gore challenge, but the two men came together to challenge a ruling they both felt was against the Constitution and basic human rights. Marriage equality does not have to be a political party platform, and the strives made in just the last few years have been a long time coming and I think generations being born right now will grow up in a world where, for them, they could always marry whomever they choose- no matter race or sexual identity.
