Awakening by Robin Wasserman

3.0

J.D. (Jane Doe) wakes up in a hospital, straped down and not knowing who she is. The doctors say that she has memory loss and that pieces will fall into place in time, but she still feels as though she is in immense danger. She makes a friend at her brief stay at a child center, but she also starts to doubt her relaity further. J.D. seems to be able to move things with an invisible force and she slips into detailed hallucinations that leave her feeling sick. She's not sure who to trust and she feels like she's running out of time.

The book was extremely fast paced and could be read easily by readers of various levels. Not much was cleared up with the ending and it's clear that the author truly wrote a serialized novel. I plan to look into the other titles in the series, but I don't necessarily feel the push to do it as soon as possible.
