Fate of the Blue Moon by H. B. Lyne

3.0

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

We start the book getting introduced to our MC Ariana, who is a martial arts teacher and competitor. Over a short period of time Ariana notices that things are changing and eventually has a guy following her but never speaking to her and even flees if she decides to try talking to him. Eventually our MC transforms and enters into a different lifestyle all the while trying to understand how to keep both aspects of her old life and new one. Through the story, she gains a new family and new brothers and sisters. Once the MC is almost accepting of her new life, a twist in the plot emerges and she finds a new mission to undertake.

I struggled getting through this book. It started off rather slow and finally started to pick up interest at about the 30% mark. While it had my interest, it wasn’t a book that I had to keep reading. I finished this book as I always try to make it through even if it’s a bit rough. However, I do not plan to continue this series. I’m sure for those that loved this first book, the series will be great. I did not like the abrupt ending and it came out of left field for me. I believe that what happened was almost a forced cliffhanger.
