This is the first classic that I read that didn't feel like a classic. I wasn't struggling to get through this at all.
The writing is absolutely gorgeous and so vivid, it makes the setting feel like its own character. The feelings that the narrator went through also translated very well and I was definitely on the edge of my seat.
