I have had the omnibus on my shelves for well over a year, maybe even two. I decided that after the first story I am not going to continue. Man, that was dreadful and boring and the ending just plain sucked, it felt like it went on forever while it was just a bit around 40-ish pages.. It took me two sittings and well over an hour to read 49 pages. There are so many things I have questions about and the ending just sucked (if it had ended in another way I would have enjoyed it so so much more now it wast just anti-climatic). Plus, why the fuck do these guys only have stairs? And apparently, given the lengthy descriptions one that go on and on and on and on and on.
I couldn't give a flip about the characters.
1.5 stars because the idea was OK (people in a silo, dead (or not) world above) and there were some parts I liked. But in overall, not going to continue. Nope. This is going on the big stack of books to be donated or put into tiny libraries in my town.
