Pulled this off my childhood bookshelf on a whim, read it in one sitting on the plane. Lovely writing and a good story. Definitely for a younger audience then me. I appreciate the darker tone and meaningful reflections that it provides at a level for younger audience, something that can be lacking in middle grade (I loved this kind of stuff at that age).
Graphic: Violence, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide attempt, and Kidnapping
Moderate: Death, Murder, and Adult/minor relationship
