For anyone who grew up in the Bible Belt or around Christian fundies, this book might ring a bit close to home. It centers around the sense of purpose and belonging that can come from religion, and how that emotion connection can be manipulated and exploited through insidious tactics and manipulative leadership. Definitely an intriguing plot with mystery and tension played out by compelling characters.
