At first, the premise seemed kind of interesting with a somewhat intriguing plot and a couple of exciting character dynamics, but in the end I just wasn’t impressed. Nothing really led anywhere, and I couldn’t find it in me to care about any of it. Everything quickly became boring as well as repetitive, and I wasn’t a fan of the writing style either.

Also, I didn’t connect with the main characters at all as I found her to be unnecessarily combative, whiny and just overall a pretty terrible person. I genuinely couldn’t stand her.
The romance was also plenty awful; they had no chemistry whatsoever and all they did was fight or fuck. It was insanely shallow and extremely annoying.

Lastly, when it comes to the actual story, I struggled to root for “The Pack” since the way they treated “mutts” just seemed completely wrong. They treated them like second rate citizens for nothing more than the place they were born. It was discrimination in the highest degree. Thus, I honestly felt like a revolution against The Pack was more than justified, so I couldn’t find it in me to hope for The Pack’s victory. That definitely wasn’t my idea of a happy ending.
