I really liked the way that Okorafor created a world that felt somehow realistic, even with the fantastical sci-fi elements. I highly recommend reading the whole series as one book, I don’t know that I would have been as interested in the stories if I was reading them as individual books. Especially with the cliffhanger between home & the night masquerade. I loved the diversity in the book as well!
Graphic: Violence and Panic attacks/disorders
Moderate: Racism and Xenophobia
