I love Aprilynne Pike's series 'Wings'. This was a step down from that amazing series.
I found this book to be very fast paced, which i like. I hate it when books drag. There was a lot of stuff that was confusing in the beginning and middle with all of the new magical terms...but once the main character Tavia understood them, so did I.
There were a lot of twists that were pretty epic. But some of the main twists were very guessable...which was disappointing.
Overall a good read.
