In understand that, for some, 90s Marvel represents a really cool period of comics that aligns with their adolescence. For me, it's the period where comics aesthetics from them and their Distinguished Competition turned my young eyes away from superheroes for years.

This trip down memory lane did nothing to assuage those feelings.
