Talking To My Country by Stan Grant

5.0

An absolutely essential read. A raw, truthful, authentic reflection of growing up as Aboriginal in Australia. Grant explores the dark, covered up history of this country and its lasting impact on First Nations communities. There were many times in this book that brought me to tears. Grants writing is honest, unflinching and deeply engaging.

Working closely with marginalised communities, this has given me an even stronger determination to fight for equity and for stories like Grants to be championed and elevated to promote informed, positive change.

I will be encouraging all of those in my circles to read this.
