Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys

3.0

4.5 stars. I LOVED this book and the only reason it took me so long to read was because of university but you could easily read this in one sitting. The writing was beautiful and the chapters where short enough to let you easily keep up with the plot. Talking about the plot: it was something I've never read about before and it was super interesting to me to see how a girl my age in the 50s could live such a different life from mine and still have almost the same worries as I do. Another thing that made me love the book was the setting. Again, I've never read a book net in New Orleans and I'm so happy I finally did because although I've never been there, it's a city I love and hope to visit soon. Sadly it only focused on a specific part of the city but I loved it nonetheless. Overall Ruta Sapetys did, as usual, a great job and I highly suggest you read this book because I didn't regret it and neither will you!
