憂国のモリアーティ 3 [Yūkoku no Moriarty 3] by Ryōsuke Takeuchi

4.0

Honestly this was the darkest volume I've read so far.

TW: Sexual Assult, Death, Murder, Child Abuse, Gore, Stabbing, Eye Gouging, Decapitation, Kidnapping, horrible disgusting and vile human beings known as Nobles

This volume had me physically and mentally sick at what was shown in the second case of this novel. I'm not bashing on it or anything like that, but if you're not into gore being shown in some capacity, definitely avoid that part.

Besides all that, I did like the dynamic shared between the storylines of Sherlock being framed and seeing Fred being fleshed out as a group member in Moriarty's plan. Sherlock's side of the story was rather fun because we could see the simularities between various Sherlock retellings! It was the base for building onto Sherlock and John's relationship and becomming the detectives that they are well known for being. I really like this Sherlock! He's crazy, flirty, and hilarious! I hope we get to see more of him again soon! Also Study of Scarlett made me grin like a moron when I realized the case!

As for the Hunters of Baskerville, this was the story that had my attention the whole time. This story showed how insanely vile those nobels are. Serioulsy! They are disgusting and horrifying people. (Not that they weren't before in the last two volumes, but this one I think just shows them in their worst state). Kidnapping homeless children to hunt them for sport is inhumane and they deserved everything coming to them. What I liked in this chapter besides revenge as usual was Fred and Louis becomming part of the focal point of this. Also we got to see Fred's perspective towards Moriarty's plan and his worry for disrupting things. I won't spoil much else, but this was an interesting look at the rest of William's crew!

Can't wait for the next volume!
