Generation Gone, Vol. 1 by Aleš Kot, André Lima Araújo

4.0

What's striking about this series is that it is thievery of many others yet manages to say something unique about the lives of post millennials. Chronicle is the most obvious comparison but this time Max Landis gets thrown into the sun. There are shades of evangelion, the matrix, Mr robot and more as well, yet it cleverly subverts many of the young adult tropes you might expect. Ultimately its a strong intro volume and I'm keen to see how our heroes progress.
