A Selective History of Max Werner by Scott Forbes

5.0

A very quick read, the story is interesting and the whole thing is very well-written. I've described it to friends as a mix between Douglas Adams's humor and Neil Gaiman's imagination. Had me laughing out loud several times (the footnotes are genius), and it's educational in that it taught me two new words (which I thought were typos, until I looked them up). The pacing is fantastic and it's a great read for both kids and adults.
