The Whole Truth (DI Adam Fawley #5)
by Cara Hunter, narrated by Lee Ingleby, Emma Cunniffe

I always get caught up in this series and stay up too late listening to it or reading it. Once again I was glued to my audiobook and as usual there was so very much going on, so many ways to get confused, but I was able to follow things pretty well. I do think it helps a lot to have read/heard all the books before this one because one of the plotlines has been ongoing the entire series.

Be aware, the crimes are hard to stomach, especially when seen from a certain POV. Plus, there are a lot of office politics in each book but this time things go in a very dangerous direction for Adam Fawley. All of this is going on just as his wife Alex is late in her pregnancy. For many reasons Adam and Alex are worried about this baby and Alex's health and there is way too much stress on both of them.

There is a podcast that we hear throughout the story but I was able to follow that media with no problem. There are also time jumps, back and forth, but those were understandable for me, too. How was Adam going get out of the pickle he's in? This story has him so hemmed in I couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Too much was on his plate and then he becomes the main course!

Thanks to my library and Libby for this audiobook.
