Jezebel by Irène Némirovsky

3.0

Three stars because Nemirovsky is a master of characterization. She doesn't shy away from the darker side of human nature, which makes her characters interesting, flawed, and relatable. The novel itself read more like narrative non-fiction, with too much explicit feelings-dump for me to appreciate it fully. If reworked, it would make an excellent short story.
