The Enigma of Reason: A New Theory of Human Understanding by Hugo Mercier, Dan Sperber
4.0
Phew, done. Finally.
Mind blown though. This view of reasoning actually makes a lot more sense (or maybe it's the myside bias and I need to go read 'Thinking fast and slow' asap just to counter-balance). It also allows to shove reason off the Human Superpower pedestal nicely.
It's quite dense, and may be could be cut a little shorter, but then I guess the authors were trying to explain their position in detail. The reiterations felt nice actually and did a good job of reminding me what the previous few pages were arguing about (or I should've just read in bigger chunks, with fewer week-long breaks in between).
