It’s hard to rate this book because when it was good, it was fantastic. But when it was boring, holy shit did it drag.

I really loved some parts. I loved their romance and Farrell’s conflict with his family. I enjoyed how the book went through the AIDS crisis and other important parts of queer history. And it was quite funny at times.

The problem is that it would just get sooooo slow and boring and I’d find myself counting how many pages until the end. I’m not sure if the good parts were worth the boring parts.
