Hand To Mouth by Deborah Sheldon

5.0

A story told in a series of letters, turns the reader into the son of the writer. Addressing you directly, you are led through the man's history, his relationships, his disasters as he attempts to prove his innocence in the murder of his wife. At times you believe him and then he changes tack making you realise how unreliable this man is as an author. What can you believe? You are never quite sure. Deborah Sheldon has created a cleverly twisting, turning narrative - much like the man squirming in his prison cell - with a surprise twist at the end. A satisfying bite of horror.
