Forgotten & Remembered: The Duke's Late Wife by Bree Wolf

4.0

I decided to read this book an a whim because I found it listed among the free books in the Nook library and I'm so glad that I did! I loved all the characters and sure, sometimes Rosabel and Graham drove me absolutely crazy by being so stubborn and basically stumbling around with their eyes shut when it came to each other. But that being said the author wrote each of them so well that I really felt a connection to them and loved them even through their being so ridiculous.
Occasionally I was so completely fed up with either Graham's cowardliness or Rosabel's timorousness that I just wanted to smack them. But I still enjoyed every page, following their misadventures.
Everything came full circle between Rosabel, Graham, the memory of Leonora, Georgiana, her father. No question was left unanswered, which is part of the reason this book was so enjoyable.
I felt invested in each of the characters, even the less frequent characters of Ellie and Edmond. Plus Georgiana was a dear, so sweet and I so much wanted her to have the family she deserved.
The only thing that bothered me throughout the book was the editing. There were several typos and random additional or misplaced words, even one instance of the correct word being followed by an additional word written in strikethrough text. I'm sure this has more to do with the fact that is was a free nook edition than with the book itself, but it interupted the flow of the text.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this series! I just downloaded the first box set of this series and am looking forward to learning more about Edmond in the next book.
